The Pontifical Missionary Union, the MISSIO charity responsible for developing mission awareness in the Church, held its annual conference in St. Augustine's parish in Coatbridge on the 15th of November. | |

The theme of the conference, 'Partners in Mission' , was developed by Fr. Donal Dorr sps, MA, DD. Fr. Dorr is well known for his work which ranges from Consultor to the Vatican Pontifical Commission for Justice And Peace, his lectures in Ireland, Europe, Africa and Asia to his many publications. |

Fr. Leo Glancy, National Secretary of the Pontifical Missionary Union, chaired the conference and gave a heartfelt vote of thanks to Fr. Donal. The delegates from mission orders, schools, parishes and mission organisations drew great encouragement from the content of the two talks, the text of which can be downloaded here. Delegates have much to think about in their work over the coming year.
