St. Anthony's
St. Anthony's primary school in Rutherglen has always been a great supporter of Missionary Children. On Friday 18th December they had their Mass for the end of term. During the Mass they presented Fr. Pat McGuire with a cheque for £3500. This is a remarkable sum for a school of 160 pupils. It reflects the commitment of Staff, pupils and especially parents to supporting the mission work of the Church. Canon Allison, the parish priest, praised the children for their generous support of the hungry children of the world. After Mass the children preformed their carol service for the whole church. This was followed by the infant department's Nativity Play, which took over the whole church.
