The Missions

When he became a priest Charles found that he was really interested in spreading the Good News to people in countries where they had never heard of Jesus.

He and his friends wrote to the Holy Father Pope Pius VII (that's Roman for 7) and asked if they could go to the missions. The holy Father allowed some of his friends to go but asked Fr. Charles to stay in France and spread the Gospel there.

Fr. Charles was sad to see his friends go without him but he did as he was asked.
