| Fr. Charles became a great preacher, travelling all over France preaching the Gospel. He was made Bishop of Nancy but the revolutionaries controlled the Church in that city and would not allow him to stay there. He kept up his preaching work and even made journeys to other countries to preach. He became well known as a great preacher. |

His friends who had gone to the missions were now in China. They found terrible poverty there. Some families abandoned babies because they could not afford to feed them. The missionaries took the children in and started orphanages to look after them. They had to find enough money to look after the children. But where could they find the money? |
