Argentina There are three projects being funded in Argentina. One supports the building of a school, one feeds children from poor families and the other supports the building of a Sunday school. Barbados Barbados may sound like a holiday destination for the rich but there are poor people there who need our support. This project supports St. Patrick's school, providing educational materials and food. Bolivia We support eight projects in Bolivia. These range from building schools, providing educational materials to buying food for the children of poor families. Brazil Missionary Children supports eleven projects in Brazil. These projects provide educational materials and buy food for poor children. Chile Two projects are supported in Chile. One provides clean water and food in poor areas and the other provides religious education material. Colombia Missionary Children supports eleven projects in Colombia. The projects provide food and medicine for children of poor families, homes for orphans and supply educational materials. Dominica Dominica has seven projects sponsored by Missionary Children. They all involve building schools, classrooms and also involve buying books. Ecuador Eight projects in Ecuador shared $78,000 last year. This money was spent mainly in building schools and also in providing medicines and food for children from native tribes. Jamaica There are nine projects being sponsored by Missionary Children. The money is spent in providing schools and feeding poor children. Grenada Grenada is a small island. We are supporting one project there. The project involves homes for disabled children and orphans. The money is used to feed and clothe the children and to provide schoolbooks. Guyana There are four projects in Guyana funded by Missionary Children. There are two orphanages looking after eighty nine children. Another project looks after one thousand eight hundred street children and the fourth project provides food, clothing and medicines to thirteen thousand native children. Haiti Haiti is a very poor country and Missionary Children supports thirty one projects at present. The projects cover a wide range of activities including, building and improving schools, providing food and medical help and looking after disabled and deaf children. Honduras The project we are supporting in Honduras is the building of an orphanage. Twelve thousand dollars was sent to this project last year. Mexico Missionary children is supporting the construction of two schools in Mexico City and in San Juan de Los Lagos. Paraguay Missionary Children supports a centre for disabled children. The centre provides orthopaedic treatment and exercise facilities to help ease their condition. Peru Nineteen projects are currently supported in Peru. These projects provide food and medicines for children from poor families, provide educational materials and look after orphans. St. Lucia Missionary children is supporting four projects in St. Lucia. These projects are for repairing and expanding schools. St. Vincent and Grenadines There are nine projects here. They support schools by providing materials and also look after disabled children and children infected with HIV/AIDS. Trinidad and Tobago Missionary Children is supporting the 'Touch of Christ Past' centre for deaf children. Uruguay There are five projects being supported here. They are all aimed at impoverished or handicapped children. Four of the projects support schools. Venezuela Missionary Children supports an educational project aimed at helping about 300 poor children in remote areas. Back to America map Back to World Map
